When my vegetarian friends ask why I haven’t given up meat, I reply I’ve given up dairy and gluten, haven’t I suffered enough? But in all seriousness, I don’t want to eat meat all the time and try to go meatless on Mondays when I can. Meatless Monday is a global movement encouraging people to reduce meat in their diet once a week for their health and the health of the planet.  As I wrote in my Hidden Gluten and Dairy, Hidden Treasures post, gluten and dairy are often added to meat as binders or fillers, and this includes veggie meat too. I review veggie beef and burgers, and a plant-based bowl suitable for Meatless Monday.
