Although coarse like traditional muffins, the muffins are slightly gummy and have an eggy taste, but the lemon flavor comes through. However, I prefer their mug cakes (https://liveglutenanddairyfree.com/snack-cakes-and-donuts). The muffins are gluten, dairy, soy and nut free.
Another type of muffin is the English Muffin which is yeast-risen as opposed to a muffin which uses baking soda instead of yeast. Katz English Muffins are tasty, crunchy and pairs well with vegan cream cheese and vegan butter. They even have the nooks and crannies found on traditional English Muffins. They are gluten, dairy, egg and nut free.
I bought the multi-pack, which contains 3 flavors: blueberry, fudge brownie and chocolate chip.
All three flavors taste more like cupcakes. They are light, fluffy and moist with a great taste. Each box contains 4 snack packs, with 16 muffins total. They are flash frozen which means when they come out of the oven and cool, they are frozen using extremely low temperatures and rapid air circulation to preserve the freshness. If you also like cupcakes, Katz also make great cupcakes (https://liveglutenanddairyfree.com/snack-cakes-and-donuts). They are dairy, gluten, nut, corn and soy free.
Their site states “We are committed to helping you and your family find new and delicious ways to eat more veggies.” They succeed with their mini muffins. Both reviewed muffins are individually wrapped, and gluten, dairy, soy, peanut and tree nut free.
One of the best tasting muffins, they taste like carrot cake with blueberry and cranberry bits. Yum! They are not too sweet and are the perfect portion being bite sized.
Technically these are veggie cakes shaped like muffins. They are so good, I had to include them. Eggs are mixed with vegetables which include broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, bell peppers, kale, onions and zucchini. They are healthy and delicious. I’m not a big breakfast eater and they are perfect for a light breakfast or snack. You can even add vegan cheese on top if you want a more traditional egg and cheese breakfast.

Muffin and cupcake are both used as terms of endearment.
Muffins were sold door to door in England in the nineteenth century before most houses had ovens, giving rise to the traditional English nursery rhyme “The Muffin Man”
“The Muffin Man”
Do you know the muffin man,
The muffin man, the muffin man,
Do you know the muffin man,
Who lives in Drury Lane?
Yes, I know the muffin man,
The muffin man, the muffin man,
Yes, I know the muffin man,
Who lives in Drury Lane.
A muffin top is a slang term used to describe a person’s body fat that extends horizontally over the waistline of pants or skirts. And yes, they do sell muffin top muffin molds.
