I’m a cruncher. Researchers found that consumers have four different texture preferences. Chewers enjoy the sensation of chewing and dislike food that breaks up easily. They enjoy foods like gummy bears. Suckers like foods like hard candy, which dissolve slowly, so they can experience the layers of food flavors. Smooshers prefer creamy foods like pudding and don’t enjoy chewing. And then there are crunchers, like me, who love food with a resounding crunch, like chips. I love crunchy foods, especially pretzels and crackers. I love the loud CRUNCH! and how the crispiness feels in my mouth.
