Amy’s Gluten Free, No Cheese Pizza with Daiya Mozzarella Style Shreds

The Best of Both Worlds

In comparing both pizzas, Amy’s crust is crunchy and perfectly crispy. On the other hand, Daiya has a cheesier taste and comes in many flavors. Naturally, I wished the companies would merge.

Well, my wish came true, kind of. No, the companies did not merge, but I merged them. Allow me to expIain. I went to Whole Foods and discovered Amy’s Roasted Vegetable Pizza. It is a personal 8″ gluten free pizza with no cheese added, not even dairy free. The crunchy rice flour crust is topped with organic shiitake mushrooms, roasted red peppers, sweet onions and artichoke hearts. The vegetables are marinated with balsamic vinegar for a slightly sweet, savory taste.

Of course I greedily wanted the best of both worlds, so I added Daiya mozzarella style cheese on top of Amy’s pizza. The result was a mouth-watering pizza with a crispy crust and cheesy flavor.  And I got a serving of healthy vegetables too!

In short, both brands can stand on their own for different reasons. But by combining Amy’s crust with Daiya cheese I tasted the best gluten free, dairy free pizza I’ve ever had. And I supported both brands which is important to me given how much I like and consume their products.
