Veggie Burgers
Beyond Meat Beyond Burger
This is the brand in Burger King’s Impossible Burger. It’s made with peas, beans and brown rice and sold as two fresh patties. If you’ve had the Impossible Burger, you know that it can pass for a real beef burger. It is free of soy, gluten, dairy and GMOs.
Amy’s Sonoma Veggie Burger
While the burger has a good taste, it’s not of beef, but of falafel. It contains garbanzo beans, which are also known as chickpeas, and used to make falafel. The taste was unexpected, but I like falafels so it was tasty for me, but I want to make you aware in case you are expecting a burger taste like Beyond Burger. In addition to the chickpeas, it’s also made with mushrooms, quinoa, oats, walnuts and vegetables. It’s organic, gluten free, dairy free, vegan and soy free.
Amy’s makes great meals. In addition to a variety of meals being gluten and dairy free, many are also vegan. I reviewed them in the following posts:

Dr. Praeger’s Mushroom Risotto Veggie Burgers
The burger is made with a mix of mushrooms, arborio rice, peas, and truffle oil. While it has a nice meaty taste, it is not a burger flavor, but more of a meatloaf flavor, similar to Amy’s Veggie Loaf. It’s gluten free, soy free, vegan and non-GMO.

Luvo Performance Kitchen Great Karma Coconut Curry
Luvo’s Coconut Curry is a complete meal in a bowl. The ingredients are brown jasmine rice, garbanzos and butternut squash in a mild coconut curry sauce.
The meal contains 1 cup of vegetables which is impressive. The garbanzo beans are crunchy and delicious. And jasmine rice makes it a whole, satisfying meal. I recommend it for the convenience of a bowl, and the generous portions of protein and vegetables. It’s also vegan, non-GMO, and gluten free.
Conclusion
It’s easy to enjoy Meatless Monday when the veggie meat tastes like the real thing and there are so many great meal options. And being gluten and dairy free, too is an added bonus.

Confused about vegan vs. vegetarian? Vegans eat no animal products while vegetarians don’t eat animals, but may eat products that come from them such as dairy and eggs.
Quote
“I began researching natural healing, which is how I came to change my diet. Overnight, I gave up refined sugar, gluten, dairy, anything processed or refined, and meat.
I really focus on natural products, so I love using unrefined products instead of refined ones. I swap white rice for brown rice or quinoa. I use brown rice pasta instead of regular pasta, nut milk or oat milk instead of dairy milk, and coconut yogurt instead of cows’ yogurt, etc.” – Ella Woodward
